Towards healthy food - Biodiversification is at large

This is a feed from my friend blog -- i strongly recomend the movie --we really to know about what we it nowadays -- becauese -there are a lot case of migration of nonidiginious specie through human actifities and greed -enjoy hans blog-

Some human beeings decided not so long ago, to breed a fish in the Lake Victoria in Africa. I wish, by the way, to know the real name of this lake, because it´s original name can hardly be the name of an english queen (nah, they´re not that important). But what this people did not consider was, that this fish was not a fish who lives in a paceful lake, but in the Nile, where conditions of living are much harder....

To make the long story short - that fish was gorging the rest of all animals (and of course all the other fish) out of this lake, so they had to call him victoria-perch (or so, I dot know the exact english word) and this is the only fishing business on the entire lake now.

And the people around the lake (especially - again - the children) are getting poorer and poorer, because with this fish they can not deal, and there is no rest. The people around the lake have to eat the remains from the big fish-industrie and from the packageremains (plastic)they are cooking themself some stuff to get high .

By the way, the payment of the fish seems to be not so clear, but it is known, that the freight-plains (mostly from russia, ukraina and so on) usualy arrive every week and they don´t arrive empty but loaded with weapons and armunition, before they bring all this glorious fish (some people still call this a story of success) to the european supermarkets.

This is a brief story about this fish - I recommend the film "darwin´s nightmare" - this film was nominated Oscar for best documentary last year!

Whenever I see this fish in a supermarket I see scenes from this film and become very moved. Whenever I see this fish on a menue of a restaurant, I try to tell everybody about this fish and I swore, I will not eat the flesh of this creature because of the horrable story behind it.

I see only one possibility, to bring the lake victoria back to where it was - by not buying this fish! By another couple of years this fish will be dissapered from the lake, becaus it is eating not only every other sort of fish, but also his own.....

Things like that are really bothering me .....
